Electrolux vacuum
"In good condition except for one big problem: it needs a new motor."
Big ups to this poster for not pretending that a vacuum that is broken at its most fundamental level is a desirable thing with only a minor flaw. A vacuum without a motor has, indeed, a big problem. Actually, I think the post would be even more honest if it had used caps - BIG PROBLEM. The pursuit of honesty might have been even better served with the following text: "Free. One-time vacuum that is no longer a vacuum. Call it what you will."
Best use? Well, assuming that dirt is skittish, almost squirrel-like in its fearful vigilance, and runs silently screaming at the sight of vacuums, you could place this in the center of a room to shoo away cobwebs and dust bunnies, scarecrow-style. Not sure if the assumption holds, though.
Second best? Frustrate OCD-suffering Gitmo prisoners, telling them they can have cells as spotless as they like, but this is all they can use for cleaning.
Beyond that, I suspect we're in art project territory.

I am swimming in a eerily vivid flashback of my youth, playing with my grandmother's identical vacuum. Oh the large pushbutton controls! The sturdy plastic handle! The strange space-age shape of the thing! I felt like Jane Jetson when I was helping to clean the living room.
omg my mother had this vacuum until a few years ago i kinda miss the thing
How Funny...I still have the exact vacuum, it can suck the hair off a squirl. I love it, execpt the wife makes me do all the work and it weighs a ton.
I know this is a really old post but I found it while floating around the internet. We have one of these. The motor was dead but we repaired it pretty cheaply so it's not as big a problem as it seems!
when i was a child, i used to pretend that this exact type of vacuum was my K-9. I was either born a die hard Whovian with an awsome imagination....or i ate to many paint chips...
thats not a bad problem for an electrolux vac. I'd rather replace my motor then buy a new crappy vac, and i have this exact same model. we've had it before i was born, still like new. the Aerus store will install the pieces for you.
